“The live music and the costumes coming together, and how they naturally dance with so much control over their bodies and with a lot of style. I find that very beautiful,” said Alicia Hack, a screenwriter.
“A piece of tradition, but also modern. Especially in combination with the background, the digital piece, and how that goes. I find it very surprising, I haven't seen it before. It gives an extra experience,” said Ellen Mackenbach, a chief human resource officer.
“I found it very beautiful and interesting, about the movements and how they were presented. I thought the dancing was very beautiful, and the music as well,” said Enrico Chin A Pauw, an entrepreneur.
“Very impressive, especially the choreography, that stood out to me. The different dances from various regions were very beautiful,” said Cor Oudshoorn, formerly with the royal navy.
“A very nice message. Returning to the traditional, staying true to oneself, staying connected to the origin. That is actually hidden in everything,” said Michel Wildenborg, a company director. “I think it is good to pause for a moment. There is indeed something wrong in the world, and perhaps we need to return to normality.”
“What I also think is very beautiful, at least what little I know about it, is that it is a culture that does a lot of philosophy. A pondering, deep thinking. We can certainly benefit from that here in the West as well,” said Cor van Rij, a design engineer.
“Very beautiful, and very good. Also that they are getting so much recognition, that many people can see it. And that they don’t just transmit art, but also a story,” said Ms. Hack.
