Shen Yun Performing Arts concluded a run of six performances in Taiwan’s capital city on March 30. Audience members praised the artistry of the performers and the positive messages conveyed through the stories.

“I have to say this performance deserves more than a 10 out of 10. It’s just flawless. We always say nothing is perfect, right? But this show made it perfect,” said Hoang Thi Vinh, CEO of a Vietnamese travel company.

She added, “the performance was extremely grand artistically. It showed the passion of the entire team, from the director to the musicians, the technical crew behind the scenes, and the dancers, everything was so harmoniously connected.”

“The performance is a very high level of cultural and artistic interpretation of our Chinese culture,” said Sunny Huang, district governor-elect of Rotary International.

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive traditional Chinese culture from before communism, which is believed to have been inspired by the divine.

“Through faith in the Creator, respect for the Divine, and love for human beings to reveal the most genuine, truthful, and kind-hearted side of human beings—this was the most touching part of the performance,” Ms. Huang said.

“The dancers have an incredible strength, something so powerful that’s beyond words,” Ms. Hoang said. “I think they believe in something truly good, a path that helps people become better, helps those who are lost or struggling to improve themselves. That belief naturally flows out of them.”

“I believe that every dancer of Shen Yun must be a cultivator. They are able to convey the essence of traditional Chinese cultural stories through their artistic performances, allowing the audience to resonate with them,” Ms. Huang said.

Shen Yun also depicts stories from the present day, including the persecution of faith in mainland China.

“Live organ harvesting is unacceptable to the entire world,” said Wu Se-chih, a Taiwan think tank advisor. “The persecution of Falun Gong in China is something beyond the comprehension of human civilization. By exposing the inhumane practices of the Chinese regime, or how it represses this beautiful traditional culture from the whole world, both Chinese and foreigners, this performance lets more people see clearly the true face of the Chinese Communist Party.”

“I hope one day a performance like this can be held in Vietnam. It would be such a blessing for those who don’t have the chance to come here,” Ms. Hoang said.

Shen Yun has a total of eight companies touring around the world, including North America and Europe.
