A Dubai-based Indian travel influencer known for documenting his adventures and luxury travel around the globe has died while attending a high-profile car showcase in Las Vegas, according to his family.

Anunay Sood, 32, passed away during what was intended to be a weekend VIP excursion, his family confirmed Wednesday in a statement posted to his Instagram account.

The announcement sent shockwaves through the influencer community, where Sood had amassed a substantial following of 1.4 million on Instagram. The announcement on his page has garnered 376,000 likes, nearly 60,000 comments, and about 3,500 shares.

"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood's passing," his family stated. The family also requested privacy during the grieving period and asked the public to "avoid gathering crowd near personal property," while urging followers to "keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers."

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of death. Those who spent time with Sood during the weekend said he appeared in good spirits and showed no signs of health concerns, Arab News reported.
Fellow Indian travel influencer Aakash Malhotra, who has 2.1 million followers on Instagram, commented on the news, writing, “Still can’t process this… You lived with so much passion, heart, and adventure, brother. Rest in peace, Anunay. You’ll be missed deeply. Strength to the family.”

Las Vegas Car Show

Sood had traveled to Las Vegas to participate in the Concours elite car show at the Wynn Hotel, where he mingled with other influencers, journalists, and notable figures from the automotive and tech industries. Among those he encountered were Horacio Pagani and Christian Von Koenigsegg, as well as Apple CEO Tim Cook.
The car show featured rare supercars, including Bugattis, McLarens, and the North American debut of the Lanzante 95-59, a three-seat road car that pays tribute to the 30th anniversary of its 1995 24-Hours of Le Mans win, according to the car show's official website.

In his final Instagram post, Sood captured a moment with "Fast and Furious" actor Sung Kang. "Still can't believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines," Sood wrote alongside the photograph.

The influencer had built a career documenting travel and adventure, earning recognition on Forbes India's Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years—2022, 2023, and 2024.
