President Donald Trump extended a White House invitation to the Los Angeles Dodgers after a thrilling World Series win on Saturday night.

Trump congratulated the "incredible champions" for their well-deserved victory following the extra-inning win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

"A lesser group of men would never have been able to win that game, or game 6, for that matter," the president wrote on Truth Social. "So many stars made it all happen. Also, congratulations to ownership. What a great job they have done. SEE YOU ALL AT THE WHITE HOUSE!!!"

It's long-standing baseball tradition for the White House to host the World Series winner every year. Trump welcomed the Dodgers to the White House in April after their 2024 World Series victory.

The stunning, final game in the series was a roller-coaster of emotions for both teams and their fans.

The Dodgers were down to their final two outs before Miguel Rojas hit a home run, tying the game. The winning run was Will Smith's homer that ended the nail-biting game in the 11th inning.

“You dream of those moments," Smith said. "I’ll remember that for forever.”

Now, the Dodgers have become the first team in a quarter century to win back-to-back World Series titles.
The upcoming White House visit marks one of various celebrations for the World Series champions. The team will celebrate with fans in a victory parade in downtown Los Angeles on Monday, Nov. 3. The parade will start at 11 a.m. PT and last approximately 45 minutes.

“Once again, the Dodgers have shown the world that Los Angeles is the city of champions,” Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see the best of Los Angeles on full display at the parade as we celebrate our BACK-TO-BACK World Series champions. I encourage all Dodgers fans to plan ahead for the parade, be prepared and celebrate peacefully, safely and responsibly."

Bass said multiple law enforcement agencies will be deployed to assist with traffic and security during the parade.

After Monday's parade, a separate celebration that requires tickets will be held inside Dodger Stadium at 12:15 p.m. PT.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) urged fans to "see something, say something" during Monday's celebrations and to report anything suspicious.

The department remains on heightened alert after chaos in the streets of downtown Los Angeles following Saturday night's win.

LAPD's Central Division announced early Sunday morning that less-lethal munitions and tear gas had been used around Olympic Boulevard and Grand Avenue during post-game celebrations because officers were being hit by "industrial size fireworks and bottles."

LAPD said the chaos finally calmed down around 2 a.m.
