WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump created a Presidential Wall of Fame with a line of portraits hung outside the White House in the West Wing Colonnade that includes a picture of an autopen signing former President Joe Biden's signature.
All 47 presidents are represented by black and white photographs with white borders and gold frames in a line that extends along the exterior West Wing wall.
A White House spokesperson told The Epoch Times on Sept. 24 that Trump selected each portrait himself.
Trump joked about choosing an autopen instead of Biden's official presidential portrait during an interview with The Daily Caller published on Sept. 1.
The photo depicting a machine signing Biden's signature now hangs between two portraits of Trump, according to the White House.
The president has repeatedly questioned the legality of Biden administration officials using an autopen to sign official documents, including executive orders and pardons.
Certain actions are possibly "illegal" due to improper use of mechanical signatures, according to Trump.
"The American public was purposefully shielded from discovering who wielded the executive power, all while Biden’s signature was deployed across thousands of documents to effect radical policy shifts," part of the order says.
Actions taken days before Christmas 2024, when Biden pardoned 37 federal death row inmates—including mass murderers and those convicted of killing children—are under review, as are documents signed in the second half of the prior administration, according to the order.
The lineup adds to other decorations added by Trump to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., including two large American flag poles, positioned on the North and South Lawns.
A massive 90,000 square-foot ballroom is planned for the Executive Mansion that will seat approximately 650, with planning underway and construction expected to begin in the near future.
Significant renovations were undertaken to create the Rose Garden Club, a space used to entertain guests and host events outdoors. Grass was replaced by a concrete patio with tables and umbrellas.
An oversized wooden bust of Abraham Lincoln was hung on an outside wall near the doors to the Oval Office, which has also undergone extensive refurbishment.
