President Donald Trump addressed international business leaders at a Tokyo dinner celebrating new investments in the United States on Tuesday, praising Japan’s new, conservative prime minister, Sanae Takaichi.
During the event, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick announced $490 billion in investment deals involving major companies in nuclear energy, semiconductors, and infrastructure.
The companies include Westinghouse, GE Vernova, SoftBank, Toshiba, and Toyota.
Trump also addressed 6,000 American troops in Yokosuka.
