Winter Weather Disrupts Millions of Chinese Travelers Ahead of Lunar New Year

Freezing rain, snow, and ice have snarled traffic across China amid the Lunar New Year travel rush. For those trapped on the snowy highway, a 6-hour drive could take more than one day. During the winter blizzard, local Chinese media reported at least two people died after roofs at farmers’ markets collapsed under heavy snow.
