A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress went down shortly after takeoff Monday morning at Edwards Air Force Base in California's Mojave Desert, according to officials.

The aircraft crashed at approximately 11:20 a.m., according to the base's official post on X. Emergency crews responded immediately, and the situation remained ongoing. No information on casualties was immediately available.
