Mourad Fahmi, president of Miller-Stephenson Chemical Company, enjoyed watching Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, Connecticut, on Dec. 23, 2017. He said he was impressed by the Shen Yun dancer’s beauty and their multiple synchronicity.

“Oh! It’s unbelievable! It’s beautiful! It’s like I was looking at mirrors. There is one dancer, and just different mirrors,” said Fahmi.

Jeff Fryer, retired vice president of sales customer service at AT&T in Connecticut, said, “What amazes me is how they can be in sync so much. … I think it is terrific.”

And the use of an animated backdrop continued to surprise them.

“[The digital backdrop] was amazing,” Fahmi said. “Actually the first time it happened, I was like, how did this happen? You know, they were in the screen. And then they come out.”

“Very nice! I thought that was quite interesting to see how you would have the technology come in, and then have the folks pop up on the stage, and then go back on to it. It is pretty neat!” Fryer said.

According to Shen Yun’s website, the company aims to revive the heritage of China’s 5,000 years of civilization. The performers use classical Chinese dance to tell stories from the beginning of China up to the present day.

“I was understanding a little bit more about the culture of China, and why they are not showing a production like this in China,” Fryer said.

“They are all great. Very great show,” Fahmi concluded.
