Actor Chris Pratt has paid tribute to his “Parks and Recreation” co-star Jonathan Joss, who was shot to death in Texas on June 1.
Joss was allegedly shot dead in front of his home in San Antonio by his neighbor. He was 59 years old.
Pratt, who also worked alongside Joss in “The Magnificent Seven” in 2016, took to social media to offer his condolences and remember his colleague.
“Damn. RIP Jonathan,” Pratt wrote on his now-deleted Instagram Story on June 2.
“Always such a kind dude. He played Ken Hotate in Parks and was also in Mag 7. Sad to see. Prayers up. Hug your loved ones.”
Joss played “Chief Ken Hotate” on the hit NBC sitcom, a role that spanned three different seasons between 2011 and 2015.
Joss was also best known for his role voicing the character “John Redcorn” on the animated television series “King of the Hill.”
Suspect Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 56, is accused of confronting Joss when a dispute broke out while he was checking the mail.
Alvarez reportedly opened fire before fleeing the scene, with authorities finding Joss lying in the street. Alvarez was booked and charged with murder, and later released on a $200,000 bond.
The Epoch Times has reached out to the San Antonio Police Department for further comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
