Moving Melody Played on Xiao: Greetings From the Wanderer Thousands of Miles Away | Musical Moments

A wanderer, in pursuit of the truth and to avoid persecution, left his hometown. He misses his elderly parents and relatives living thousands of miles away.

Composer and xiao (Chinese flute) performer Guohua Chen expresses the wanderer’s longing for his homeland and his relatives with his low, graceful, and thoughtful Xiao sound. At the same time, the piece also shows that although the wanderer is far away from his hometown and has a home that is difficult to return to, he still sticks to his beliefs and does not change his original aspiration.
