A Tesla showroom in Oregon was targeted on Wednesday, marking the second attack on the dealership in a month.

According to the Salem Police Department, officers responded to the Tesla dealership at 2755 Mission Street after receiving a report about damaged windows. Officers later learned that the damage was caused by gunshots.

Wednesday's shooting follows a suspected arson attack at the same Tesla location on Jan. 20. A Tesla vehicle was set on fire just before 5 a.m. and a window panel of the Tesla building was found to be broken, according to police. Images shared by authorities show a charred vehicle and a damaged window.

Federal authorities are investigating both cases.

Angela Hedrick, public information officer, told NTD that federal authorities have taken over the arson investigation.

"This investigation is now with our federal partners, meaning the ATF and the FBI are leading the investigation," Hedrick told NTD in an emailed statement.

Hedrick also said that the FBI is helping the Salem Police Department with the probe into Wednesday's shooting. She explained that federal agencies often help local law enforcement in some cases, but declined to further elaborate.

"The FBI is assisting in this investigation as it is their standard practice is to help local agencies, for example with their expertise or tools, if it can benefit an investigation," Hedrick said.

It remains unclear if both incidents are politically motivated.

No arrests have been made in either incident at the Salem Tesla dealership.

Both cases remain active investigations.
