First Lady Melania Trump Visits Marine ‘Toys for Tots’ Drive

First Lady Melania Trump participated in the annual Marine Toys for Tots drive hosted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington on Monday.

The annual tradition involves collecting and distributing toys for those in need, thereby providing hope through the joy of Christmas.

The first lady sat with the children as they made Christmas cards, and helped sort the toys that will be distributed during the holiday season.

“Toys for Tots is one of my favorite events during the Christmas season. Thank you to all of the children who are here today to help,” Trump said.

This year, Melania also handed out sporty bags from her Be Best initiative, which focuses on combating bullying and improving the health and well-being of children.

The first lady participated in the program in 2017 and 2018, as well.
