Former Capitol Police: Intelligence Breakdown Contributed to Jan. 6 Violence

On Feb. 23, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security questioned former Capitol police on the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. All agreed that the violence was pre-planned and that a breakdown of communication from intelligence departments contributed to the chaos. However, there was some dispute over the details behind National Guard deployment.
