Former NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested at a casino in Indiana early Feb. 27.
Jones, 35, was apprehended after Indiana Gaming Commission agents were called to the Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun to investigate a customer for possible cheating at a table game.
Jones was arrested booked into the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center at approximately 3:10 a.m. He faces charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Jones played for the NFL from 2010 to 2018. He spent the majority of his career playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and last spent time with the Denver Broncos.
Jones previously had a run-in with law enforcement in 2017. At least five police officers responded to a hotel in downtown Cincinnati and tried to talk to Jones about what happened but he refused.
Jones said that bodycam footage showing his interaction "is not a representation of me." Outside the courtroom, he told reporters that he was "sorry for putting the officer in that situation" and apologized to Bengals fans and coaches.
He said he only wants to be seen “as a great and humble father, husband, person, and Bengal.”
NFL Responds to Kraft Charges
The NFL said on Feb. 25 that it will treat the charges against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft equally to everyone involved in the league after the billionaire was charged with two counts of soliciting a prostitute as part of a vast crackdown on an international human trafficking ring in Florida.Kraft faces two counts of misdemeanor solicitation of a prostitute connected to a sting at a massage parlor in Jupiter, Florida. The evidence against him includes video recordings collected from hidden cameras inside the spa, which include sexual acts involving Kraft, police said.
“Our personal conduct policy applies to everyone in the NFL. We will handle this allegation in the same way we would handle any issue under our policy. We are seeking a full understanding of the facts while ensuring that we do not interfere with an ongoing law enforcement investigation. We will take appropriate action as warranted based on the facts,” the NFL said in a statement.
Kraft denied the allegations through a representative on Feb. 22. He is alleged to have paid for sex at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa on two occasions. The spa was one of 10 shut down after a wide-ranging sting operation on Feb. 22.
