Ghilaine Maxwell has been behind bars for almost a year, since she was arrested at a New Hampshire estate in July 2020.
After her month-long trial, the 60-year-old ex-girlfriend of Jeffery Epstein was found guilty of sex trafficking and transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan sentenced Maxwell to 20 years in prison.
