Kiefer Sutherland suffered a serious injury while traveling for a show in Europe and has been forced to postpone the rest of his tour, he announced on social media.
The 52-year-old actor-singer revealed the injuries in an Instagram post on Thursday, August 15.
"Sadly, I slipped on the steps of the bus whilst traveling to Denmark and seriously injured a rib, making it difficult to breathe and impossible to sing," he wrote on Instagram.
"Regretfully, I will not be able to perform the last 3 shows of our tour, but have every intension of making up these shows in September/October when we return," he continued.
"I am so sorry for any inconveniene that I have caused to the fans who bought tickets. I will do everything I can to make it up to you," he added. "Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Kiefer."
The three canceled shows would have taken place in Denmark and Sweden.
Following the injury, Sutherland shared a gif on Twitter of a cat falling down a flight of stairs, poking fun at himself.
"Thank you all for your incredible kindness and support," Sutherland captioned the gif.
"Well be back on the road before you know it...and I promise to be more careful walking downstairs on a moving bus!" he added.
Sutherland is best known for his role in the Fox show, "24" where he played Jack Bauer from 2001 to 2010, earning him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama series in 2002, according to IMDb.

Sutherland is also known for his role on the TV show "Designated Survivor" (2016-2019) and starring in such films as "Zoolander 2" (2017), "Mirrors" (2008), and "Phone Booth" (2002).
While Sutherland is known for his acting career, he also has a successful career in music, something that interested him from an early age.
"I just wanted to be exactly like him. I made the joke that I was probably the only third grader that was listening to Aerosmith, so country music was not the music that I certainly grew up on," he added.
Sutherland released his first album, "Down in a Hole," in 2016.
