Blaise Misztal, vice president of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), joined NTD to discuss the Israeli military’s killing of two high-ranking Iranian officials—national security chief Ali Larijani and Basij paramilitary commander Gholamreza Soleimani. He discussed the signals this sends to the Iranian regime, demonstrating the intelligence-gathering capabilities of the United States and Israel, as well as the message to the Iranian people that the war is intended to free them.
Misztal said the message is that their oppressors are running for their lives. He also discussed the remaining threats within Iran’s military capabilities, President Donald Trump’s remarks that the United States is capable of eliminating Iran’s electrical capacity, and the United States’ and Israel’s achievement of aerial superiority.
Misztal further addressed what he described as a skewed perspective that influences media coverage—one that focuses on negatives rather than the successes of the United States and Israel—and the tendency to doubt the United States while amplifying its adversaries.
