LIE and Greedilous debuted in New York City during the Spring/Summer 2018 New York Fashion Week as part of Concept Korea fashion collections.
Designer Lie Chung Chung explains his theme and inspiration for the collection about the beauty of the individual woman.,”LIE 2018 Spring/Summer is about the perfect beauty of being imperfect. Nobody is perfect actually but I think that’s real beauty. Because I don’t think that all the people love standard beauty, so I want to talk about the individuality of the beauty of the individual woman. “
He said he got the inspiration from the petal of the flowers so he transferred them into shapes and colors and structures of the petals.
“This is the first time I’m at New York Fashion Week, I’ve been to the other fashion weeks like Korea, Seoul Fashion Week and China, Guangzhou fashion week and Vietnam Fashion Week too but this is the first time to be in the major fashion week in the world. So I proudly present my collection and I really hope you enjoy the collection!” Chung added.
Janelle Geason, head of makeup for the LIE Collection explains the unique makeup style for the models and how it related to the theme. And the leads stylist for hair was by John Reyman who explains the hairstyle for the collection and how each one is tailored to each model look.
[Miss J Alexander, American TV Personality, was very excited about the show. There’s a lot of pieces that I like! I did like a lot of things that I saw, the makeup was great, the hair was great, the clothing was great. Music was good, it was really great ambiance, really great atmosphere.”
Beautiful models and gorgeous designs rounded up a successful show for LIE. Senior model and dietician Maye Musk made a final appearance at the end of the show with the designers welcoming a long applause from the audience. Let’s see what they have installed for next year’s fashion shows!
