Terrion Arnold, a cornerback for the Detroit Lions and a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was arrested Wednesday night in connection with a February robbery and kidnapping in Tampa, Florida. He faces the possibility of life in prison after the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office announced it would pursue multiple felony charges against him.

Arnold, 23, turned himself in and was booked at Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County. He is charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, according to the Tampa Police Department.

The case centers on an alleged theft that occurred on Feb. 1, 2026, when items valued at more than $250,000 were stolen from an Airbnb property in Largo that Arnold had been renting. Arnold suspected two of the three eventual victims were responsible for the theft. Investigators later determined that the victims were not involved.

Two days later, on Feb. 3, Arnold and co-defendant Boakai Hilton reported the property loss to the Largo Police Department. That same day, the two men coordinated with co-defendants Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo to contact one of the victims and lure him to an apartment.

Just after midnight on Feb. 4, the three victims arrived at the apartment, where co-defendants Christion Williams and Lyndell Hudson had concealed themselves inside a bedroom closet. When the victims entered the room, Williams and Hudson grabbed them, held them at gunpoint, and hit them.

Investigators found that Del Valle livestreamed the assault to Arnold, Hilton, and co-defendant Freddie Lee Hughes III as they traveled to the apartment. A group chat involving all defendants was also created, in which Arnold and Hilton allegedly directed those inside the apartment during the attack.

Roughly an hour after the assault began, Arnold, Hilton, Hughes, and another individual had arrived. Arnold instructed the group to enter the home, according to police. Hughes, Hudson, and Williams then stole personal belongings from the victims while the assault was still ongoing. At around 1:40 a.m., all three victims were escorted out of the apartment at gunpoint, forced into their vehicle, and released. Del Valle, Williams, and another individual then left the scene in a vehicle driven by Arnold.

The victims, described as three adult males in their late teens who sustained visible injuries, including being pistol-whipped, reported the incident to Tampa police and positively identified the suspects.

"No one has the right to take the law into their own hands," said State Attorney Suzy Lopez in a statement released by the Hillsborough State Attorney's Office. "A dispute over missing property does not justify kidnapping, violence, or retaliation. This arrest is the result of months of investigative work and collaboration between the Tampa Police Department and our prosecutors. We will continue to pursue justice for the three victims by holding everyone accountable for their roles in this crime."

Tampa police investigators believe Arnold was the primary conspirator in the crime.

Six co-defendants were arrested between Feb. 4 and March 21. Four of them—Hilton, Hudson, Hughes, and Williams—remain held without bond, according to the Hillsborough State Attorney's Office. On June 24, Del Valle and Randazzo pleaded guilty to their roles in the crime. Randazzo was sentenced to four years in Florida State Prison, followed by six years of probation. Del Valle entered an open plea, with sentencing to be scheduled at a later date. As part of their agreements, both women are required to testify truthfully in any future proceedings related to the case.
Arnold was selected by the Lions in the first round—24th overall—of the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama. He is the highest-selected defensive player by the Lions out of Alabama. During his college career, he earned First-Team AP All-American honors and led the SEC in interceptions during the 2023 season, according to Alabama Athletics. He recorded 47 tackles in the 2024 NFL season and 23 in 2025, according to the Lions.
