Children have been spared the worst of the disease, but the pandemic has taken a terrible toll on their mental health—and we likely won’t know how bad for years. But it’s a question our two guests have been tracking closely and they offer some hints. 

We’re joined by Dr. Mark McDonald, a clinical psychiatrist for children and adolescents, and the author of “United States of Fear: How America Fell Victim to a Mass Delusional Psychosis.”  

And we speak to Professor Carl Heneghan, director of Oxford University’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, and an adviser to Collateral Global. He recently wrote a sweeping report for Collateral Global synthesizing studies from around the world, “The Impact of Pandemic Restrictions on Childhood Mental Health.”
