Major Recalls Issued for Toys, Baby Products Sold Online

U.S. safety officials announced a sweeping series of recalls in late February 2026, affecting more than 150,000 children’s products. Hazards cited include drowning, fire, toxic chemicals, lead exposure, and choking. All recalls were announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Infant Products

About 2,380 Trankerloop baby bath seats were recalled after the CPSC said they “violate the mandatory standard for infant bath seats because they are unstable and can tip over while in use, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to drowning.”

The seats were sold online on Amazon.com from August through October 2025 for about $36 each. They were manufactured in China by Shenzhenshirongmanshangmaoyouxiangongsi, doing business as Trankerloop.

Consumers should stop using the seats and contact the company for a refund.

Sanven Technology Ltd., doing business as Vevor of Rancho Cucamonga, California, recalled about 10,400 retractable baby gates. The gates were sold online at Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, Vevor.com, Walmart.com, and Wayfair.com from December 2023 through December 2025 for between $32 and $53. CPSC said a child can fit through the opening, posing an entrapment risk.
About 150 Bicystar high chairs were recalled. The chairs were sold online at Amazon.com from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, 2025, for about $76. The chairs lack the required restraints and pose fall and entrapment hazards, according to the recall notice.
Hisense Ltd. of Israel recalled about 81,800 Babysense Max View baby monitors. The monitors were sold online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Babylist.com from January 2023 through December 2025 for between $90 and $180.
The company received 11 reports of overheating or sparking in the baby monitor display unit. Consumers should stop using the display unit.

Toys and Educational Products

Surreal Brands LLC of Brooklyn, New York, recalled about 9,400 Tubby Tots Fizzy Flask Bath Magic sets. The products were sold online at Amazon.com, Wonderfunbrands.com, and on a TikTok Shop for Wonderfun Brands from November 2025 through January 2026, priced between $14 and $15.

Moisture buildup can cause pieces to eject forcefully from the container. The company received three reports of such incidents, including bruises, swelling, and a chipped tooth. The sets were made in China and can be returned for a refund.

Several magnet-based toys were also recalled due to ingestion hazards.

The recalled products include about 1,300 magnetic chess games sold online at Amazon.com from August through November 2025 by Kaiwenshangpin.
And 200 Zelbuck magnetic games sold online at Amazon.com from October through November 2025 by n b plus.
About 5,300 Christmas-themed magnetic chess games were recalled, sold online at Amazon.com from November 2024 through November 2025 by Yiruikeji2024.
Another recall is for 130 Grtard magnetic stick figures sold online at Walmart.com from May through November 2025, and 782 Huaker magnetic ball-and-rod sets were sold online at Amazon.com from September through November 2025.

All were manufactured in China and sold for between $7 and $23. Consumers should stop using the products and seek refunds.

SN Commerce LLC, doing business as TheKiddoSpaceStore of Dover, Delaware, recalled numerous products manufactured in China. The items were mostly sold online at TheKiddoSpaceStore.com and Amazon.com between 2023 and February 2025. The recalls include:Lead is a toxic heavy metal that can cause serious health problems, especially in children.

Phthalates are chemicals used to make plastics flexible and have been linked to developmental and reproductive issues.

Methanol is a type of alcohol that is toxic if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Ethylene glycol is commonly found in antifreeze and can cause poisoning if ingested.

Prices ranged from $13 to $80. Consumers are urged to stop use and follow the company's refund instructions.

Another recall involved about 210 Joyreal busy board toys sold online on Amazon.com from September through November 2025, priced at about $20 each. The toys were recalled due to choking and laceration hazards.
