In the aftermath of the recent deadly blasts in Iran, analysts are examining the possible repercussions of the attacks, which have been claimed by ISIS.

NTD spoke to Avi Melamed, a former Israeli intelligence official and founder of <a href="https://insidethemiddle-east.com/">insidethemiddle-east.com</a>, who shed some light on the situation.

While ISIS has a history of perpetrating blasts in Iran, Mr. Melamed noted the complex relationship between the Sunni militant group and the Shia-led Iranian regime. However, he also pointed out intriguing connections between the Iranian regime and ISIS.

With tensions already high in the Middle East due to conflicts in Gaza, the Red Sea, and Lebanon, the incident in Iran adds to the escalating friction. Mr. Melamed underscored the interconnectedness of various regional issues, emphasizing the potential for any one incident to fuel a broader escalation.
