Since Aug. 11, the White House says more than 2,100 arrests have been made in Washington, including suspects wanted for homicide, carjacking, and assault with intent to kill.

Trump vowed to keep the National Guard stationed in the capital and hinted the crackdown could soon expand to other U.S. cities.
