U.S. Rep. John McGuire, (R-Va.), a former Navy SEAL joined NTD's Steve Lance to discuss Operation Epic Fury's impact and effectiveness, the political divisions it has caused, and the need to support U.S. troops on the ground. McGuire noted lawmakers never sought to restrict President Obama's military options in past conflicts. He added that he was pleased that the Senate vote to limit President Trump's military action failed.

McGuire also discussed the history of the Iranian regime killing of thousands of American soldiers and civilians. He said in the 1970s, there were more women in elected positions in its government and in the workforce than the United States. He said a stable Middle East must have a stable Iran, and that killing 49 of the Iranian regime's top leaders in one strike saves the U.S. months of time. McGuire said the Iranian regime doesn't stand a chance against the United States and its allies, but that if it had a nuclear weapon, it would use it, potentially killing a million people.

McGuire also sent a message to the U.S. service members in harm's way: "You're the best in the world. You have the best training and you have great leadership. And we are all behind you ... What you're doing is very important and we've got your back."

McGuire said as a former Navy SEAL, when he heard politicians degrading the mission, it was demoralizing and unforgettable. He urged people to support the troops, let them finish the mission and critique it later.
