Parler CEO John Matze says the future of the social media app is up in the air. He says he’s optimistic they’ll return soon, but that he doesn’t know when.

“If everything is perfect and we don’t lose any more vendors, which won’t happen, you’re talking half a week, but you start losing any more, it could be never. We don’t know yet.”

Amazon, Apple, and Google banned Parler after the violence at the Capitol. They accuse it of failing to moderate violent content.

But Matze says Parler’s being held to different standards than other social media companies. He says they’re fighting to come back as soon as possible.

“We’re exploring a lot of options because I think this is a very big attack on small business, up and coming start-ups, and on free speech online. It seems to be if you’re not in the club, you can’t get access to the internet.”

He says the best thing is if they can get back on Amazon. They already filed a lawsuit to do that—and they’re considering suing other vendors too.
