Christina “Chrissy” Lee Powell, a 39-year-old Texas mother of two, has been missing since July 5.

She was last seen shortly after 10:34 a.m. wearing dark pants and a long-sleeved shirt as she left hurried out of her San Antonio home, according to Ring doorbell camera video. Officials and relatives say the car she drove away in was a black 2020 Nissan Rogue, with license plate number PYJ 8564.

Family members say Powell was leaving late for work, carrying a purse, but forgot to take her mobile phone or Apple Watch with her. Her 70-year-old mother who lives with her, Claudia Mobley, recalled that “she left out of here in a rush.”

The brown-eyed, blonde-haired mother of two told her mother she would be late and called the workplace where she worked as a paralegal of her late arrival. However, a few hours later, she didn’t show up so a colleague from work appeared at the family’s Apple Creek home to check up on her.

Mobley said Powell’s eldest son, 12, answered the door. “My grandson answered the door, and the lady said, ‘Is your mom here?’ He said, ‘No, she’s at work’ … He went and checked, and of course, she wasn’t here.”

Her mother said Powell didn’t say anything remarkable and nothing seemed out of the ordinary when she left.

“We didn’t really have any kind of in-depth conversation. It was basically, ‘Good morning.’ She told me she was late. Then, she was leaving for work and I told her to be careful. And I probably told her, ‘I love you,’” Mobley said.

“I felt like she was going, I believed she was going to work—and I think she felt like she was going to work.”

On July 6, Mobley contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report Powell as missing and an officer was dispatched to the home to take a report, but it took two or three days before officially listing her daughter as “missing.”

A police flier describes Powell’s appearance as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 120 pounds and right-handed, with shoulder-length hair, reported Fox.

Powell, who did not take her medication with her, is “diagnosed with medical conditions that require a doctors (sic) care.”

Ever since her disappearance, family members have found no spending activity on Powell’s bank account. The family has been unable to determine her credit card activity, said Mobley. She says that so far, tips from the public have not helped locate Powell.
“When I talked to the Missing Persons officer this morning, she said there were no updates—that they had some tips, people saying they thought they saw her at a gas station … that they had checked it out, and it wasn’t her. Wasn’t her car.”

Powell’s neighbor and 33-year-long friend, Lauren Lea, said Powell “took pride in being a mom” of a 3-year-old and a pre-teen. She had not expressed any worries for her well-being or safety and remarked nothing “seemed off” besides leaving the house in a rush that morning.

“I don’t believe she would ever want her children to go through what they’re going through right now,” said Leal. “We just want you home,” she told the local CBS affiliate. “I mean I think that would be the worst is spending the rest of my life looking for her. I will never give up.”

“I don’t know what to say really,” Mobley told Fox News Digital, “except she was my wonderful Chrissy. And I wish she’d come back.”

The police urge anyone with information about Chrissy Powell to contact SAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 210-207-7660.
