At a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on “Worldwide Threats to the Homeland” on Nov. 15, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) addressed concerns regarding ID information on individuals encountered at the border—especially those on terror watch lists—that was redacted and listed as “derogatory.”
Ms. Cammack told FBI Director Christopher Wray that the agency denied the Homeland Security Committee and other committees’ requests for the information. “Why is that information derogatory and why has the FBI neglected to share that information with Congress?” she asked.
Ms. Cammack urged Mr. Wray to promise to provide all of the unredacted field interviews in the next 30 days, to which Mr. Wray refused.
