Shen Yun Performing Arts played in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 16, taking audiences on a journey through ancient China through classical Chinese dance and music. Theatergoers were in awe and commented on the beauty of the performance.

“It is wonderful to see so many talented artists, and above all, the fusion of the arts, which today is so interesting. This combination of music, dance, visuals, sound, the orchestra, and seeing everything integrated with a story, with a narrative, leaves us with a message,” said Romina Vacca, a choir and orchestra conductor.

Jonathan Gimenez, a dancer, said, “To be honest, as I watched the dance, it’s beautiful, the coordination, artistically, it’s all very good.”

Victoria Pinto, a writer, said, “I thought the show was amazing, truly world-class, with such grace, otherworldly costumes, and dancing that was acrobatic, as they say. It’s something everyone should see at least once.”

Ms. Vacca said, “The orchestra conductor was truly excellent, because it is work that is sometimes a bit more hidden, in the background, but truly the musicians have integrated so well.”

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture from before communism. Audience members resonated with the cultural messages and values presented on stage.

Ms. Pinto said, “Honestly, everything draws you in, the music, the colors, everything carries that message of spirituality they want to share, of benevolence.”

Ms. Vacca said “I think it is this fusion of dance with the orchestra, with the colors, the music, the story, how over time it tells the narrative of events without words, because ultimately it is sound, it is dance, and it also tells us a bit about the essence of life, the importance of history, and of bringing it back into the present in a way that makes us reflect a little.”

“Unity and faith. Unity and faith are what I take away from this performance,” said Mr. Gimenez. “I’d like to thank them for showing us this, that I’m very happy, and I believe they have a very important mission for all of humanity.”

“I would love to share it with everyone. I want to tell everyone to come, not to miss it, that they won’t regret it,” said Ivanna Naifovino, a design professor.

Shen Yun will be performing in Guadalajara, Mexico, from May 6  to May 10.
