Shen Yun Performing Arts successfully closed the curtain after a performance in Bari, Italy, on Feb. 8. Audience members were delighted by the company’s artistry and said they felt a sense of tranquility in the theater.

“I was struck by the serenity. Even of the slightly more tragic dances. The feeling of serenity, it’s a pleasure, and a dream with the costumes. The music is also wonderful. Even the instruments, unknown to some of us, sound heavenly,” said Laura Orlando, a doctor.

“The artists are wonderful because you don't even feel or when they land (after jumping), you don't feel and you don't hear the slightest noise, not even footsteps. It is wonderful,” said Ileana Smacchia, an entrepreneur.

“It’s unique because there is a synchronicity, a movement that is not there in other ballets. You guys are really unique. My compliments also for this 3D technique that you have patented,” said Angela Abbracciante, a former business owner.

Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance company. Its artists perform with a mission in mind: to revive 5,000 years of Chinese civilization from before communism. Audience members said they took note of that theme—as well as uplifting values from ancient China.

“A message of hope that you can be better. Society can improve, but it can improve if the individual improves. To help [people], even towards those who were enemies before,” said Pasquale Bruzzese, a doctor.

“I very much appreciate the fact that you are able to express this concept and put spirituality at the heart, which has value, and isn’t just the Western mechanism of merely getting rich but living a miserable life,” said Mike Tribuzio, a life coach.

“They absolutely have to see it, wherever in the world it is, you have to get there to see it,” said Rossana Miniello, a lawyer.

“I'm definitely taking a good memory away (from the performance). It's the first time I've seen a show like this. It's the first time and I will carry it in my heart,” said Antonio De Cicco, an entrepreneur.

Shen Yun will perform at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Feb. 15 and 16.
