BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Shen Yun Performing Arts delighted audiences in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 12 with technical skill, artistry, and storytelling.

“They bring the East closer to us who are so far away, with the dances, the costumes, and the culture. Wonderful,” business owner Adela Ester Pelz said.

“Super emotional. It reaches you, your heart vibrates with how they present it, how they show it, how they transmit it, and how they live it. So I think it is wonderful,” Mónica Miller, a chiropractor, said.

“Impeccable. The coordination, the combination, the dances, the sounds with the interactive screen were impeccable. Incredible, truly a top-tier performance,” Ariel José Córdoba, an auctioneer, said.

Inspired by China’s 5,000 years of culture and values, Shen Yun revives a heritage the Chinese Communist Party has sought to erase since 1949, showcasing “China before communism.”

“They are telling a story of Chinese culture through dance,” Arigna Rey, a business owner, said. “They explained that it was about the divine, the concept of faith, principles, and values, and how people in their culture apply themselves to this lifestyle through having faith, being honest, sincere, upright people, to be good people.”

“The soprano singing, her voice was spectacular, all the body language of the performers, the staging, how they presented themselves; it was really interesting, very interesting,” María Silvina Apis, a public administrator, said.

Ms. Miller said, “The way they have integrated the technology, all the visual effects they create, the leaps they perform, the dancing, and the discipline; you can see how it’s all been crafted and refined to become such a spectacular show.”

Shen Yun will be performing in São Paulo, Brazil, Apr 30–May 4, and Porto Alegre, Brazil, May 9–10. It also has performances across Mexico May 1-10.
