An enthusiastic audience in São Paulo, Brazil, had high praise for Shen Yun Performing Arts after seeing the performance on May 2. The world’s premier classical Chinese dance company travels the world with a mission to rekindle China’s 5,000 years of divinely inspired culture and values from before communism.

“Wonderful show, it is unmissable. We will be here again next year,” said Rosângela Fonseca, a psychologist. “I would like to thank the artists for the opportunity to experience this wonderful performance and that they continue with this purpose of showing all of us Westerners how important Chinese culture is, how much it can show us about living well, and being good.”

“We are divine beings, but we forget this because of worldly distractions, even though we came here with a purpose. Here, we connect a little and start to look a little more at that side in such a simple, beautiful, genuine way. We start to look at the inner side,” said Willian Ortega de Souza, a dental surgeon.

Marco Fonseca, a physician, said: “I think impressive is the way to describe the magnitude of this piece. I believe the divine is with us, and that we can connect with it, that's what Shen Yun is about.”

Ancient Chinese civilization comes to life in Shen Yun’s performances through classical Chinese dance, music, and storytelling. Every season, its artists bring an all new program for audiences to enjoy.

“I would like to congratulate the artists and say that it’s technically impeccable, and it’s also artistically wonderful. It is also a work with very strong messages, they leave very good messages,” said Alexandre Rangel, a company director. “Sensational, and spectacular. That's the way they bring all this tradition and stories from China. It's wonderful.”

“[The performance] really brings this aspect of generosity and forgiveness and it touches everyone. It touches us. Regardless of religion, it touches everyone,” said Mayla Palma Beolchi, a lawyer. “And it touches on this issue of freedom. The freedom of people, and of spirituality.”

Shen Yun will be performing in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on May 9 and 10.
