In attendance was the vice chair of the New Jersey Broadcasters Association, Bert Baron, who presented a proclamation to the artists, congratulating them on their 20th anniversary tour.
Mr. Baron said, “It’s pure magnificence and just so inspiring. Every year it just gets better and better, and it’s just so uplifting, and you just feel so good just watching this performance. It’s really hard to describe until you actually see it live in a theater; there’s really nothing else like it.”
“The athleticism, the passion, the artistry that goes into it. It’s the most unique show that you’ll ever see anywhere. You could just tell the passion that they have for their art and for storytelling. It’s really just a remarkable experience,” he said.
Perry Farhat, an attorney, said, “You look at some of these dancers, and you can’t believe just that they’re human. It’s unbelievable. The colors, the clothing, everything. It was just food for the eyes. It was just unbelievable.”
“You have a civilization that’s 5,000 years old. It’s just incredible that something can be erased in the last hundred years, or try to erase it in the last hundred years, and it’s so brilliant and beautiful and incredible,” said Mr. Farhat. “I leave here so humble after seeing that show, that incredible show, and how incredible Chinese culture and history is, and it’s just so sad to see that this may have not made it. So I’m so grateful that it was saved and we were able to see it.”
Narender Dhawan, a design director, said, “The costumes they’re wearing was excellently designed, and the performance was beautiful, especially the orchestra. The music was to the heart, very mesmerizing music, the best we could see from the show.”
