Recalled TNVitamins Moringa Powder on June 26, 2026 (FDA)

A New York supplement company has broadened a product recall that stretches back months, this time pulling two additional moringa items from store shelves and online platforms after a supplier flagged possible Salmonella contamination in a raw ingredient.

Total Nutrition Inc., based in Deer Park, New York, announced June 26 that it was voluntarily recalling TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules and 100% Organic Moringa Powder—according to a notice published by the Food and Drug Administration.

The latest recall covers two specific lots: TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Capsules 1,200 mg (product #AB9917, Lot #2800, expiring February 2028) and TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder (product #AB9904, Lot #2782, expiring May 2028). Lot numbers can be found on the bottom of the bottle and near the barcode on the label.

Both products were sold nationally through Amazon, Walmart, Target, and TikTok Shop, as well as directly through the company's website.

The company said the recall was triggered by a supplier-initiated notice regarding the raw organic moringa ingredient—not by any confirmed illness. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this latest recall.

The decision marks the second time in recent months that Total Nutrition has been forced to expand its recall. In early June, the company broadened an earlier recall to include additional lots of TNVitamins Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Moringa and Doctor's Pride Complete Green Superfood Ultra Potent Moringa, both in 10,000 mg doses.

That earlier expansion came after the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified the company that its moringa products "may be implicated in an ongoing investigation associated with moringa-containing dietary supplement products.”

The investigation extends beyond Total Nutrition. As of late May, the CDC had linked 119 Salmonella cases across 36 states to recalled moringa products made by Total Nutrition and two other supplement companies—Live it Up Super Greens and Why Not Natural—resulting in 32 hospitalizations.

The same month, the CDC also reported a separate moringa-related Salmonella outbreak connected to Mogo Moringa LLC of St. Louis, which had voluntarily recalled two lots of its capsules on May 25.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms typically include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, the infection can enter the bloodstream and lead to more severe complications, including arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis, according to the FDA.

Customers who purchased the affected TNVitamins products are urged to dispose of them immediately and not to consume, sell, or serve them.
