Megan McCain is reportedly not leaving “The View,” despite reports that said she could possibly quit.

The show released a statement to counter a flurry of reports that said McCain was thinking of leaving.

“The co-hosts and ‘The View’ have had an incredible season and we expect them all back for an epic year ahead,” a spokeswoman for the show said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

Speculation began after an article in The Daily Beast wrote that McCain was having a tough time on the show and was considering not returning for Season 23 of “The View.”

A source told The Daily Beast McCain was “feeling like a caged animal” because of the show and was “so exhausted and defeated.”

“It’s getting to the point where it’s not worth the emotional toll every week,” a source told The Daily Beast. “If she doesn’t stay at ‘The View,’ she will find other work.”

The Daily Beast article went on to describe many alleged issues that McCain experienced during her time on the show and portrayed her as unhappy and isolated.

McCain is considered a relatively conservative voice on the show, and the article indicates this as one of the reasons she feels pressure.

“What happens with Meghan is that because she’s so passionate about what she’s talking about, and she feels very strongly that she’s carrying this mantle for the conservative perspective, and what she wants to talk about is so important to her, I think that’s the part that’s the most draining for her,” Hilary Estey McLoughlin, “The View”’s senior executive producer, told The Daily Beast.

Although McCain’s viewpoints are often considered more conservative than the other hosts on “The View,” her Twitter account shows her retweeting politicians like Joe Biden and showing support for Kamala Harris.

McCain is also well known for not supporting President Trump. Her father, the late former presidential candidate and senator John McCain, often clashed with Trump. In fact, John McCain is said to have played a major role in trying to make the public believe Trump colluded with Russia, The Epoch Times reported.

“So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) ‘last in his class’ (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election. He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!” Trump tweeted.

McCain herself has yet to respond to the reports of her potential exit. The next season of “The View” begins in September.
