TOKYO—An earthquake of magnitude 5 hit the greater Tokyo region, authorities said on Wednesday, shaking buildings in the capital, but prompting no tsunami warning.
The epicenter in the Ibaraki region was 50 kilometers (31 miles) deep, the Japan Meteorological Agency added.
