Gennadiy Mokhnenko, a pastor and father of 43 children, shares his experience as the commander of a chaplain battalion on the frontlines in Ukraine. Leading a team of over 200 chaplains, he provides spiritual and physical support to soldiers and civilians in war-torn areas. Mokhnenko discusses the destruction of churches, loss of life, and his view that there is no religious freedom under Russian occupation. He sat down with NTD’s Chris Bob at the National Religious Broadcasters Conference 2025 in Grapevine, Texas, to share his view that the conflict is about justice, not land.
