The U.S.-Taiwan business council is launching a new coalition to advocate for a new bilateral trade agreement. An agreement would benefit the United States economically by removing tariffs on American products. It would also benefit both parties politically. The United States is fostering closer ties with Taiwan as U.S.-China relations deteriorate. We asked the president of the U.S.-Taiwan business council, Rupert Hammond-Chambers, what hurdles lie ahead.
