Rocky Lockridge, a former boxing champion, died at the age of 60, according to reports on Feb. 7.
TMZ reported that Lockridge, who famously appeared on the show “Intervention,” died after suffering complications from several strokes.
He passed away on Feb. 7 after being in hospice care at his home, The Blast reported, citing the Retired Boxers Foundation.

The foundation said he was pulled from life support about a week ago after having two strokes.
His family confirmed to TMZ that he died.
“It is with great pain but a whole heart that I tell you family and friends that my father Ricky Lockridge aka Rocky Lockridge has passed away,” his son told the news website.

“All he wanted was to be in the comfort of his home with friends/ family. God has called him to walk through the gates of heaven,” his son added.
He had been in the hospital for the past several weeks.
“In the weeks leading up to his death, Lockridge had been unable to swallow and was hooked up to a feeding tube. He also suffered from pneumonia after food aspirated into his lungs. Lockridge’s caregiver had set up a GoFundMe for him in recent weeks to help cover his mounting medical bills,” said The Blast.
As a boxer, he defeated Roger Mayweather, the uncle of undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather, to win the WBA junior lightweight title in 1984. He defeated Barry Michael for the IBF Junior Lightweight belt in 1987.
But he later became addicted to crack cocaine, and his family brought him on the A&E reality TV show “Intervention.” A video of him crying ended up going viral on YouTube.
After spending time on the show, he sought treatment in a facility.
The Blast reported that he died at the Gloucester, Camden, Salem County Medical Examiner, and it was reported by Compassionate Care Hospice.
