Aldi shoppers across the United States are urged to check their refrigerators, freezers, and supplement shelves following a series of five significant recalls. The issues range from metal contamination to undeclared allergens. The recalls involve frozen foods, ready-to-eat meals, seafood, baked goods, and dietary supplements.

Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos: Bestway Sandwiches Inc. of Valencia, California, recalled 24,870 pounds of Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos due to possible metal contamination. The frozen items, produced on July 3 and Sept. 25, 2024, and labeled with “Best By” dates of 07/03/25 and 09/25/25, were distributed nationwide. One customer found a piece of metal in the frozen chicken and cheese taquito product. Another consumer suffered a dental injury from the product, according to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The FSIS warns the product may still be in home freezers and urges consumers to discard or return it.
Park Street Deli Pork Carnitas: Aldi stopped sales of its Park Street Deli Pork Carnitas after supplier Cargill Meat Solutions alerted the company to potential metal contamination. The 16 oz ready-to-eat trays, with “Use by” dates of 06/30/2025 and 07/01/2025, were sold in 16 states, including Illinois, Florida, and Pennsylvania. No injuries were reported. Consumers can return the product for a full refund.

3 Food and Supplement Recalls

Atlantic Salmon with Seafood Stuffing: Santa Monica Seafood recalled its Atlantic Salmon Portions with Seafood Stuffing sold at Aldi stores in California, Nevada, and Arizona due to undeclared soy, a known allergen. The 16 oz product, labeled with a “Freeze By” date of June 2, 2025, was found to be mislabeled during a routine inspection. No allergic reactions have been reported.
Casa Mamita Churro Bites: Camerican International recalled Casa Mamita Churro Bites Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream due to undeclared milk. The 7.05 oz boxes, marked with a July 14, 2025 “Best If Used By” date, were distributed in 13 states across the South and Midwest. The error was traced to a temporary packaging breakdown.
Vitamin B12 Energy Support Gummies: Welby Vitamin B12 Energy Support Gummies, along with products under the Berkley Jensen and VitaGlobe brands, were recalled due to possible peanut contamination. Though follow-up testing found no traces of peanuts, Aldi initiated a nationwide recall out of caution. The affected lot number is 248046601, with an October 2026 expiration date.

No deaths or serious injuries have been linked to these recalls, but federal agencies stress the importance of checking for affected products. Consumers should discard or return any recalled products to Aldi for a full refund, according to the FDA.
