"Breaking Bad" star Dean Norris had some strong words for the parents involved in the college admissions bribery scam and he did not hold back on Twitter.
The "Breaking Bad" star, credited "hard work and perseverance" for getting into the prestigious Harvard University. For him, the idea alone that parents would pay money to guarantee their children got into a top university was "shameful."
"I got into Harvard against long odds via hard work and perseverance. Neither of my parents went to college, we didn’t have money to even pay for SAT prep course let alone bribes,” he wrote. “Shameful. It’s hard enough for working class kids to succeed without the rich privileged taking opportunity away.”
The college admissions scandal broke Tuesday with 50 people, including more than 30 parents and nine coaches, were charged in the scam, which involved a nationwide conspiracy to facilitate cheating on college entrance exams and the admission of students to elite universities, including Yale and Stanford, authorities said.
Huffman's husband, actor William H. Macy, was not charged alongside her, although according to court documents, he did participate in a consultation about the scam.
Loughlin was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 13, to face charges in connection with the scandal. She was charged for allegedly giving $500,000 to say her child was part of a rowing team, when that was not true, according to court documents.
