British actor Paul Nicholls rescued after 3-day ordeal

A British actor who appeared on “EastEnders” was stranded for three days after he fell down a waterfall in Thailand.

He broke his kneecap during the fall on the Thai resort island of Koh Samui earlier this month, The Associated Press reported.

Villagers noticed Paul Nicholls’s rented motorcycle was parked near the waterfall for three days.

The rescue team chief, Chaiyaporn Sapprasert, told AP that he couldn’t move when they found him.

“I am lucky to be alive,” Nicholls told The Sun. “It took such a long time to find me. It’s an understatement to say it wasn’t a great situation. It wasn’t that I was lost. The problem was I couldn’t move to get out of there.”

“I had a phone with me but I fell from such a height into the water it was unretrievable,” he added.
