The California Department of Motor Vehicles has provided customers with an easier way to apply for a driver’s license or ID card on its website. Users can now fill out the required forms and submit them in advance.
Customers will have to create a DMV online account on the website to start off the application process. The identity verification requires both an active phone number and an email address.
The online application also offers customers options to apply to become an organ donor, as well as the initiation of voter registration, but the application will not be fully completed without customers’ presence to submit the applications in person at a DMV.
DMV customers can now fill out the new online electronic driver license and ID card application before visiting a DMV field office. The electronic application can be completed using a computer, tablet or smart phone. Learn more at https://t.co/y0NKDuIUIi pic.twitter.com/CJT4Np1Vsq
