Nothing could be more devastatingly tragic than the insurmountable grief of a mother who loses all her children forever in one incident. This is what happened to the Coble family in 2007, but just a few months later, a miracle happened!
Here’s their heartwarming real-life story.
One fateful day, while Lori was driving her three children Kyle, Emma, and Katie home; she was unaware that a disaster was awaiting them: A truck that was driving on 70 mph, carrying 20 tons of electronics, crashed into the back of their minivan.
Lori has no recollection of the day’s events. Her husband Chris had to tell her that their beloved children were dead.
Their 5-year-old Kyle, 4-year-old Emma, and 2-year-old Katie, became just a memory of the past in no time. It was truly disastrous for the parents.
The truck driver, Jorge Miguel Romero, who had a history of speeding, pleaded no contest to three counts of vehicular manslaughter. As Chris and Lori sought out justice against the driver and the truck driving industry that took away their children’s lives, just six months later, they got the news of an unbelievable miracle. It seemed Chris and Lori had a reason for hope…
Mom Lori became pregnant with triplets again: two girls and one boy, just like before. For Lori and Chris, it was clear that their kids had a hand in creating their brother and sisters. They truly believe that it was no coincidence!

“Your mind can’t even think otherwise. If you feel they’re somewhere watching over you, protecting you, and something like this happens, it’s hard to think that somehow they weren’t involved in crafting this,” Chris said.

In May of 2015, Ashley, Ellie, and Jake celebrated their seventh birthday.
“I think it’s a miracle. I think Kyle, Emma, and Katie had something to do with this. I think they helped us, I think they made this possible,” Lori says.

While nothing can replace the loss of three children, the unending love of Kyle, Emma, and Katie’s new siblings are surely keeping this family to move forward with hope and love.
