Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was the latest to have his home burglarized.

The Fairview Police Department in Texas revealed the details in a Sunday press release on Facebook. Lamb is the latest professional athlete to have his home burglarized in the past several years.

According to the release, officers responded to reports of a home burglary on a residential street in Fairview, roughly 30 miles north of Dallas and 18 miles east of the Cowboys' facility in Frisco, at around 1:20 p.m. on July 31. Police identified Lamb as the owner of the residence. Upon arrival, officers met with Lamb's representation, who directed them to a broken window on the side of the house that the burglars used as both the entry and exit points.

Police said that a single suspect broke into the home and stole several valuable items.

A copy of the police report was published on X by The Spit Bucket Podcast Friday. In it, police state that 4 luxury handbags were stolen, valued at a total of $300,000.

Fairview PD said in its press release that the investigation is still active.

"The Fairview Police Department is actively pursuing all leads in this ongoing investigation, working alongside area law enforcement partners to identify and apprehend the suspect," it said.

Lamb was away at the time: the Cowboys are holding training camp at a facility in Oxnard, California, where they have been for 20 years.

Growing Trend

The burglary at Lamb's home is part of a growing trend of players being burglarized at their homes.

On July 18, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley had his home in the suburb of Malvern broken into. A press release from the Treydiffrin Township Police Department said that officers were dispatched to the home shortly after 5 a.m.; Barkley and his family were home at the time.

Last year, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Florida announced the arrest of seven Chilean nationals in connection to a spree of burglaries targeting professional athletes in the United States.

The federal criminal complaint unsealed on Feb. 18, alleges the individuals are members of a South American Theft Group (SATG) that targeted NFL and NBA players, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The defendants all face a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison if convicted.

The complaint also claims the homes of players with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Milwaukee Bucks, Cincinnati Bengals, and Memphis Grizzlies were also burglarized. The thieves took watches, jewelry, cash, and other luxury valuables, including a safe.

Other victims of burglaries include Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, then-Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic, and Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
