Inside the Clinton Campaign’s 2-Pronged Plan to Create the Trump-Russia Collusion Narrative | Truth Over News

In October 2016, Wikileaks released a little-noticed email exchange involving Hillary Clinton’s communications director Jennifer Palmieri and Democratic strategist Joel Johnson. The exchange revealed the existence of a Clinton smear campaign aimed at Donald Trump. At the time, the email was largely ignored, but it has recently gained new relevance through disclosures in special counsel John Durham’s various court filings.

Clinton’s plans revolved around two primary prongs directed at Trump. The first element involved Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele. The other element of Clinton’s smear campaign involved the efforts of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann and his use of non-public data exploited by technology executive Rodney Joffe and a team of IT operatives.

Clinton’s two-pronged strategy began to take shape in the spring of 2016, and those parallel plans would ultimately merge together at the end of July 2016, just as the FBI was about to open its counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign.
