An Israeli company has created a family-sized biogas system which converts any organic waste into clean cooking gas, and liquid plant fertilizer for the garden. The system, HomeBiogas is affordable and easy to assemble. What is more amazing about this system is it turns the leftovers to produce enough gas for cooking three meals.
With HomeBiogas, there is no need to feel troubled anymore over those leftovers you had from your daily meals.
According to the company’s website, the system is designed for “easy and convenient use” as electricity is not required to run it. The system consists of several components such as a user-friendly feeding sink, a flexible digester tank that processes the waste, a fertilizer outlet for obtaining liquid fertilizer.
So, what do you feed into the system, and how much can be digested? You can pour up to 6 liters of food waste such as dairy, meat, food scraps into the system. You can even pour litter inside, all of which can be converted into gas and fertilizer.
A look at the company’s website shows the HomeBiogas costing less than $1,500, depending on where you are delivering it to. Before ordering, you will need to make sure that the country’s weather is not too cold (below 64F) as it affects the productivity of the system and you should not order it if you are staying in an apartment.
