Reality television personality Jana Duggar has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Stephen Wissmann, revealing the news nearly one year after their August 2024 wedding.
The announcement featured photographs captured by Duggar's sister-in-law, who operates a photography business under the handle @firstlens_photography, according to Jana's Instagram post.
The images show the couple sharing a kiss while displaying Duggar's growing baby bump, with additional shots highlighting her pregnancy.
Jessa Duggar Seewald served as maid of honor, while sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar, along with sister-in-law Abbie Duggar, served as bridesmaids.
The pair reconnected in March 2022 when Duggar's brother Jeremiah married Wissmann's sister Hannah Wissmann Duggar, according to the Duggar family website.
Speaking about their relationship prior to their wedding, Duggar told People: "I had been a slower mover on it, but just over time, his character, his coming back, still loving me no matter what. I know we have a big crazy family and still kind of putting up with a lot of things. I'm like, my goodness, there are not too many people that do that. He must really, genuinely care about me."
She continued: "It takes me a bit to open up, but I think just his continuing to be there, no matter what, through ups and downs. He's been a good friend over the years and has not pressured me in a lot of ways."
Stephen Wissmann, 31, comes from a family of 13 children based in Nebraska. According to the Wissmann family website, he serves as "assistant manager of Wissmann Enterprises, Inc." and participates in directing musical arrangements, singing, and playing instruments with his family's gospel music group.
