Kia is recalling roughly 70,000 SUVs, according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA).

About 70,000 Sorento and Sportage SUVs from 2016 through 2023 are being recalled.

Officials say a faulty tow hitch can pose a possible fire risk.

According to the NHTSA, three fires have been reported but none caused any crashes, injuries, or deaths.

KIA says it will be contacting owners of affected cars who have been told to park their vehicles outdoors until the problem is fixed.
