The panel reacted to the resignations on Monday of Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and Tony Gonzales (R-Texas), as calls for their resignations rang out amid allegations of sexual misconduct.

The panel discussed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard releasing new documents on Monday alleging a coordinated effort within the intelligence community to manufacture a conspiracy that was used as the basis for the 2019 impeachment of President Donald Trump, and its implications for democracy in the United States.

The panel also discussed the pressure on the Trump administration to resolve the closure of the Strait of Hormuz before it affects the global economy more severely, how Trump has cut off Iran’s ability to raise revenue, as 60 percent of the state budget depends on revenue from oil and gas sales, as well as the key figure in Iran, who is the surviving senior general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the question of whether economic necessity will bring him to the negotiating table.
